Integrated program of valorization and transformation of agricultural and agri-food products

Within the framework of the 3rd C2D, the Cameroonian and French authorities wished the valorization and processing of agricultural products to be one of the themes selected, with the aim of capitalizing on existing projects, making them sustainable and strengthening their coherence, by promoting the harmonious development of the territories. TRANSFAGRI accompanies the emergence of a successful private sector. Its objective is to identify the players and support them in their development and financing, complementing other C2D programs and those that support the rural sector and larger companies. It deploys an integrated approach that combines SME development in the broad sense, financing and structuring of the vocational training offer, in order to best meet the development needs of rural areas, in continuity with the interventions already underway at the level of the Ministries of SMEs (MINPMEESA) and Vocational Training (MINEFOP). (MINPMEESA) et de la formation professionnelle (MINEFOP).

The TRANSFAGRI program consists of three sectoral components and a cross-cutting coordination and capitalization component. It continues and consolidates the activities of the SMEAA (CCM1266) and CFM (CCMI 276) programs and will contribute to the operationalization of the national strategy for inclusive finance. MINEPAT ensures the overall coordination of the program. Each sectoral ministry involved (MINPMEESA, MINEFOP, MINEPAT and MINFI) is in charge of the component that concerns it.  MINPMEESA, MINEFOP, MINEPAT and MINFI) is the project manager for the component that concerns it.

The beneficiary of the program is the Cameroonian state, represented by MINEPAT, which ensures overall coordination. The program is managed through a single fund allocation agreement, signed by MINEPAT, with a view to a greater rationalization of interventions.
External expertise, both long term and ad hoc, will be recruited during the implementation of activities in accordance with national procurement procedures.
